Zermatt

A World of Its Own

Zermatt is a picturesque mountain village at the foot of the majestic Materhorn.  Considered one of Switzerland's most popular winter resorts, Zermatt embraces three skiing areas, which enjoy superb snow conditions and the longest skiing season in the Alps.  From the top of the Klein Matterhorn, serviced by Europe's highest cable car, you can ski to Italy for lunch, Italian style.  A 6-day international lift pass is included.

Resort Overview

Zermatt has an extensive network of 74 different transportation facilities.  With a combination of high-capacity cable cars, mountain railways, and chairlifts, you'll be able to move around the resort with ease.  Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll find plenty of terrain to explore among Zermatt's 250 km of ski runs.

The village itself is filled with traditional hotels and chalets, not to mention a seemingly endless selection of restaurants, bars, and shops.  Adding to Zermatt's charm, the only means of transportation permitted in the village are horse drawn sleighs and carriages, as well as electric vehicles.

Please note:
Luggage fees are not included in your Skican package.  These are paid directly to the airline - currently AC 1st piece free, 2nd piece $100 each direction. Ski boot bag and ski bag count as one piece as long as they do not contain anything other than skis, boots and ski poles.
