This trip runs from January 15 to January 22, 2023 (7 nights)
From its celebrated Champagne Powder to its deep Western heritage and Winter Olympic history, Steamboat is one of the most memorable ski towns in North America. Skiers of all ages have been calling Steamboat Springs one of their favorite ski resorts for the last 50 years. With six peaks and nearly 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 169 runs, and 3668 ft of vertical Steamboat is one of North America’s largest ski mountains with terrain for all levels of skiers or boarders.
In Steamboat’s unique, old-style, ranching town enjoy views of the Steamboat Resort with a walk along the Yampa River. With a wide range of great bars (get ready to get your karaoke on), a superb choice of restaurants, and unique Cowboy-centric shops, just try to leave town without purchasing a cowboy hat!
For this trip, we have chosen the Holiday Inn Hotel “as our basecamp for adventure“. The Holiday Inn is a short shuttle away from Steamboat Resort and the Town of Steamboat and offers premier amenities including indoor and outdoor hot tubs, indoor pool, and onsite restaurant.
Join us for this NEW Ski Escape!
New in 2022/23, the first phase of a $200M investment will be complete for the winter season resulting in a new après ski plaza, restaurants and bars, a learning centre, and the lower leg of the Wild Blue Gondola – which, when complete, will be the longest gondola in North America and the fastest 10-person gondola in the country.
Why does Steamboat have champagne powder? Steamboat, Colorado averages 6% snow water content. In other words, their snow is 94% air. That's really light. It's so special that it has its own name: Champagne Powder® snow. Legend has it that a local rancher coined the term back in the 50s because the snow tickled his nose just like the bubbly drink.
