Something for Everyone

Kimberley is known for its dry Purcell Powder and plenty of sunshine.  It also has a wide variety of terrain to satisfy all ability levels. With over 1,800 acres of terrain, 80 named runs/glades, and a variety of ski-in, ski-out lodging, there's plenty to discover at Kimberley Alpine Resort. The Easter Bowl is a haven for adventurous skiers/riders looking for gladed terrain, moguls, and long-lasting powder stashes. 

Whether you're interested in night skiing, ice skating, live music, or relaxing by a bonfire, there's plenty to keep you entertained in the evenings. You can also explore the town of Kimberley and take advantage of the great shopping and dining.  Kimberley's Bavarian-themed Platzl area is located only minutes from the resort.

Planning to tie the knot?

Kimberley's historic Maverick T-Bar Arch was built in 1958, and it provides the perfect setting to say your vows.  After the ceremony, you can take in the magnificent Rocky Mountain vista while enjoying a cocktail reception at the Kootenay Haus.

Congratulations on selecting Kimberley as your Skican vacation destination!  Although Kimberley is best known for its terrific skiing/riding, the area offers plenty of additional activities for you to enjoy during your stay.

Cross Country Skiing

The Kimberley Nordic Trail Network offers terrain for all ability levels. In total, the Nordic trails are 26km long , including a 3.3 km loop that is lit for night skiing.

Snowshoeing

Explore the pristine wilderness on your own or join one of many guided tours that begin at the top of Kimberley Mountain and lead down the historic Northstar Mountain. Chocolate fondue and warm drinks are served on many of these tours!

Snowmobiling

Explore the Kimberley region and Kootenay Rockies by snowmobile, and take in some breathtaking views of the Canadian Rockies. Half day or full day guided tours are available, as are private rentals.

Helicopter Sightseeing Tours

Sightseeing by helicopter is the best way to see the beauty of the Kootenays. Explore the majestic scenery of the Purcell and Rocky Mountains as well as the pristine alpine lakes, canyons, and lush forests. Several tour options are available, and most depart from the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort.

This premiere, resort-style, ski in/ski out condo hotel is nestled in the heart of Kimberley Alpine Village next to the North Star Express Chairlift. On-site guest laundry, heated underground parking and complimentary daily newspaper.

Purcell Rocky Mountain Condos
These condos offer great ski in/ski out access with their on-mountain location. Both properties have a common room, guest laundry and are located approximately 100 metres apart. The Purcell also has a sauna.

Lodges at Kimberley Ridge
Located in the base village, just a 2 minute walk to the high speed quad and all of the other amenities. This is the only complex at the base of the ski hill with a private hot tub & BBQ on the deck of each unit!
