Activities

Congratulations on selecting Lake Louise as your Skican vacation destination!  Although Lake Louise is best known for its terrific skiing/riding, the area offers plenty of additional activities for you to enjoy during your stay.

Tri-Area Sightseeing Lift Ticket

This sightseeing pass opens up the mountain for non-skiing guests who want to experience the incredible scenery at Lake Louise. These tickets provide transportation to and from the resorts, as well as a $12 food voucher, so all you have to worry about is having fun. Your Tri-Area sightseeing lift ticket is also valid at Sunshine Village.

Snowtubing

Tubing is a thrilling way to enjoy winter in the Canadian Rockies, and is sure to provide a rush whether this is your first time in the snow or you’re a serious skier. Located at the base of the mountain, the Sunny Tube Park lanes are groomed for smooth sliding to ensure participants have the most fun possible while staying safe.

Snowshoeing

For those wanting to adventure beyond the pistes, snowshoeing can be a great way to get off the beaten path.  Lake Louise Ski Resort offers a guided service of high-alpine snowshoeing, complete with a round-trip on the gondola to the top of the mountain.  Snowshoeing has catering options available.

Cross-Country Skiing

Lake Louise and the Lake Louise Ski Resort offer some incredible cross-country ski trails, including the world-famous Skoki Trail to the historic Skoki Lodge. These trails can keep anyone entertained for a whole day and more if you opt for an overnight stay at Skoki.

Backcountry Ski Tours

Ski hidden stashes of Lake Louise powder and save your legs by using the lifts to initially access the backcountry. Lake Louise Ski Resort has teamed up with Yamnuska Mountain Adventures to bring you world-class backcountry skiing and split boarding adventures. For intermediate and advanced skiers and riders, these tours are your best chance to experience backcountry skiing at its finest.

Winter Sightseeing Gondola

Experience the best winter scenery in the Canadian Rockies at Lake Louise. This sightseeing gondola ride takes you on a fourteen-minute ride in a fully enclosed gondola to one of the Banff National Park's greatest views at 2088m (6850ft).
