Let others procrastinate. Join Skican in Vina Del Mar, Valle Nevado, and Santiago (3-part trip) on the first Ski Escape (hosted trip) of the season! You will be in the company of a small group of travelers, who like to get outside and be active. No hassle, all fun.
Start your trip with a view of the ocean and wine exploration in Vina Del Mar (Vineyard by the sea) for 2 days. It overflows with flowers, beaches, seafood, and quirky sites. Viña lets you go at whatever pace, so move as fast or as slow as you want here.
Then move onto our ski home for 4 nights will be Valle Nevado (= snowy valley), a modern ski resort in the El Plomo foothills of the Andes Mountains just 90 minutes from Santiago. It boasts plenty of sunshine, beautiful vistas, and dry snow. Inspired by resorts in the French Alps, Valle Nevado has the most advanced lift system in South America and is a paradise for intermediate skiers and riders. Explore the bumps, backcountry, and terrain park as well. You will rest in the Hotel Valle Nevado or Hotel Puerto de Sol (your choice) with half board and easy access to the slopes and village base amenities - shops, restaurants, and bars. This experience will offer only the best distractions and few decisions - it is summer after all!
A few tips for your ski portion of this adventure:
- While enjoying the dreamy groomers and off-piste terrain, keep an eye out for the rare Andean Condor soaring high above the treeline
- At day's end, enjoy tea or pisco sour by the pool and chat with skiers from far-flung places
- Be sure to witness an infamous pink sunset
The trip will end with 2 nights in Santiago. Join your hosts on a walking tour of the city or ask about wine tours in neighbouring Maipo Valley. Santiago captivates with its assorted panoramas and its versatility. The Chilean capital fills with life for all those that visit.

*$5740 CAD per person based on double occupancy (double room) at Hotel Valle Nevado with Ikon Pass
*$6170 CAD per person based on single occupancy (single room) at Hotel Puerta Del Sol with Ikon Pass
Ask for pricing without an Ikon Pass, or if you are a senior. All taxes, booking fee, and host are included. This cost is based on a minimum of 10 participants. A 20% deposit is due at the time of booking. The price is based on current flight availability and may change when booking.
Part one - August 9 to 11. Start your ski trip with an ocean view
- Direct flights from Toronto to Santiago with Air Canada Economy Class (10-hour 30-minute flight, first bag included) and private transfer from Santiago airport to Vina Del Mar early morning on August 10
- August 10 - Stay at the Hotel Pullman Vina Del Mar 4* (one night - breakfast included). Visit Acapulco Beach, Plaza Colombia, and museums, all within a short walking distance from the hotel. Group dinner at a local restaurant (not included in package price)
- August 11 - Morning private transfer to Valparaiso. Take a guided walking tour followed by a winery visit, tour, tasting, and lunch
- Transfer to Valle Nevado, check-in at Hotel Valle Nevado or Puerta Del Sol
Part two - August 11 to 15. Ski at the famous Valle Nevado
- 4 nights lodging with half board included either Hotel Valle Nevado 4* or Puerta Del Sol 3* (double occupancy). Half board: Hot buffet breakfast and dinner included daily
- 4 days of skiing
- August 15 - Private transfer to Santiago mid-afternoon after skiing
Part three - August 15 to 17. Discover Santiago
- August 15 - Stay at the Hotel Plaza San Francisco (breakfast included) for 2 nights
- August 16 - This is a free day to explore Santiago. Discover the historical center, and the beautiful parks, take a gondola up to Cerro San Cristobal, have lunch in the famous Patio Bellavista, and explore the local markets
- August 17 - Private Transfer from the hotel to the Santiago Airport

Hotel Pullman Viña del Mar San Martín is right in front of the ocean, only a few steps away from Acapulco Beach, and the Plaza Colombia is about 5 minutes away.

Valle Nevado includes Half board breakfast and dinner. Breakfast (Restaurant La Fourchette) and dinner La Fourchette, Mirador del Plomo, Monte Bianco, (Restaurant Sur) • Unlimited ski lift access, including the day of check-in and the day of check-out.
